Precision Helical Gear Shaft For Gearboxes

This precision helical gear shaft is manufactured from 20CrMnTi, a low-alloy carburizing steel. Thanks to its outstanding hardenability and stable carburizing behavior, this material is widely adopted for small and medium-sized power transmission gear shafts.

Paired with carburizing and quenching heat treatment, the gear tooth surface gains elevated hardness for superior wear resistance, while the inner core of the shaft maintains good toughness. This structure enables the component to withstand torque and impact loads effectively and greatly lowers the risk of tooth fracture. Accordingly, material selection stands as a critical factor determining the service life of helical gears.

Helical Gear Shaft for Precision Gearboxes

 

This custom helical gear shaft is specially developed for gearbox applications. Different from ordinary straight gear shafts, helical teeth realize gradual tooth-surface meshing during operation, which greatly disperses meshing impact, effectively cuts down vibration and running noise, and greatly improves the running smoothness of the entire gearbox system.

Unlike conventional split-type helical gear assemblies, this component adopts an integrated one-piece structure where the gear teeth and shaft body are machined from a single steel blank. This design completely eliminates assembly clearances and coaxiality errors generated during the fitting of separate gears and shafts.

Meanwhile, the integrated structure features a more compact layout. It reduces the required installation space inside the gearbox casing, well meeting the miniaturization and lightweight design requirements of complete equipment. This gear shaft is widely applicable to precision reducers, automatic drive gearboxes and other related transmission equipment.
