For Metallurgy Applications
Rolling Mills
Rolling mills are used to reduce the thickness of metal billets, slabs, or strips through a series of rotating rolls. Operating under extreme loads, high temperatures, and constant shock loading, these machines require gearing solutions capable of delivering continuous high torque while withstanding severe mechanical stress.
- Main Drive Gears: Large herringbone and double-helical gears transmit high torque smoothly while eliminating axial thrust, ensuring stable operation under fluctuating loads.
- Mill Pinions: Case-hardened and precision-ground pinions manufactured from forged alloys provide exceptional wear resistance and surface durability in the main roll drives.
- Reduction Gearboxes: Multi-stage helical and planetary gear sets designed to handle high reduction ratios while maintaining efficiency under continuous operation.

Continuous Casting Machines
Continuous casting machines transform molten metal into semi-finished solids such as slabs, blooms, or billets. This process involves synchronized movement of molds, oscillator tables, and withdrawal rolls operating at high temperatures, requiring precise and reliable gearing for consistent product quality.
- Oscillator Drive Gears: Precision helical and bevel gears that generate the reciprocating motion of molds, ensuring smooth oscillation to prevent strand sticking.
- Dummy Bar System Gears: Heavy-duty spur and helical gears for the dummy bar storage and insertion mechanisms, providing reliable engagement during start-up.
- Withdrawal Straightener Gears: High-strength planetary and helical gear sets that control the withdrawal speed and straightening of the solidified strand.
- Run-Out Table Drives: Durable gearmotors and bevel gear drives for roller tables that transport hot material to subsequent processing stages.

Shears & Presses
Shears and presses are used for cutting, punching, forming, and shaping metal products. These machines operate with intermittent high-impact loads, requiring gearing solutions that can absorb shock energy and deliver precise positioning.
- Flywheel Drive Gears: Heavy-duty spur and helical gears that store and release energy in mechanical press drives, handling sudden load spikes during forming operations.
