Pre-Sales Service
We recognize trust is the foundation of every successful collaboration. That’s why we are happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before you share any project details. This agreement formalizes our mutual commitment to confidentiality and helps build a strong foundation for collaboration from the start.
You are welcome to share your own NDA template for our review, or we can provide our standard version for your consideration. Whichever you prefer, our goal is the same: to ensure your intellectual property is formally and securely protected.
Even without a signed NDA, Belon operates with integrity and respects client confidentiality as a core part of our professional practice. Protecting your information is not just a clause in a contract—it’s our standard.

Designs & Technical Data
Your drawings, specifications, and design concepts remain strictly confidential. They are accessed only by our project team and are never disclosed or reused without your explicit permission.

Tooling & Physical Assets
All custom tooling, molds, samples, and prototypes developed for your project are safeguarded as your property. They are stored securely and never shared, replicated, or marketed to others.

Business & Strategic Information
Your project timelines, commercial plans, budgets, and market strategies are handled with utmost discretion. We do not leverage your business insights for our gain or disclose them outside agreed project communications.

Our comprehensive feasibility assessment provides clarity and confidence before project moving forward. By evaluating both technical and cost feasibility, we help customers make informed decisions, mitigate risks, and lay a solid foundation for smooth, successful collaboration.
Technical Feasibility
After reviewing customer design drawings, our engineering team evaluates materials, tolerances, and performance requirements to confirm manufacturability and identify potential challenges early. We provide clear feedback on:
- Whether the design can be feasibly manufactured
- Whether our current equipment meets the drawing specifications
- Whether inspection can proceed in accordance with standards

Cost Feasibility
Belon provide transparent preliminary cost estimates, helping you align your project with budget expectations and explore optimization options:
- Whether design could meet customer budget
- Whether huge sampling investment is required
- Whether the design available for future production lots

We partner with you to find the ideal balance of performance, durability, and cost for your custom gear projects. Our detailed cost analysis and optimization process focuses on four key areas, giving you the clarity to make confident decisions:
Gear Craft Selection
We recommend the most suitable manufacturing method—whether hobbing, shaping, milling, grinding or another process—based on your production volume and precision requirements.

Gear Material Selection
We guide you in choosing the right material, from standard alloys to high-performance composites, considering factors such as load capacity, wear resistance, and operating environment.

Gear Heat Treatment Selection
We support optimizing heat treatment accordant with customer’s material selection, such as carburizing for low carbon steel, Nitriding for middle carbon steel, maximumly help to improve surface hardness, core strength, and the overall lifespan of your gears.

Quality Level Selection
We provide clear cost insights for different accuracy grades (e.g., AGMA or ISO classifications), so you can select the right quality matching with your application’s true necessities.

We transfer your gear concept into a production-ready, high-performance design. Sharing your sketches, gear key parameters or existing drawings with us, our engineering team will perform a detailed design review and optimization.

Tooth Profile Optimization for Performance & Longevity
We carefully analyze and refine the tooth micro-geometry—including lead crowning, tip relief, and root fillet optimization. Using advanced simulation software, we model meshing behavior and contact patterns under load to minimize stress concentrations, reduce noise & vibration, and maximize power density. This precise tuning ensures smoother operation, extended service life, and improved overall system efficiency for your application.

Design for Manufacturability (DFM) & Cost Efficiency
We review your design through the sight of production. We assess manufacturability based on your chosen or recommended processes (e.g., hobbing, shaping, grinding). We propose intelligent adjustments—such as standardizing tolerances, suggesting alternative but equivalent materials, or simplifying complex features—that significantly reduce machining time, tooling costs, and material waste without compromising performance. The result is a design that is not only optimal on paper but also economical and straightforward to produce.

When you have a physical sample but lack technical drawings, Belon offers a full Reverse Engineering service to bridge that gap. Our team will expertly extract all critical design data if you send us your original gear sample. This service enables you to accurately reproduce, replace, or enhance existing components—smoothly moving from a physical sample to a ready-to-manufacture design.

Data Acquisition & Pre-processing
3D Scanning: Utilize laser scanning, structured light scanning, or industrial CT scanning to obtain high-resolution point cloud data of the gear.
Dimensional Measurement: Employ Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) or optical measuring instruments to capture critical macro dimensions (module, number of teeth, pressure angle, etc.).
Material Inspection: Conduct initial material composition analysis via spectroscopy or spark testing, followed by metallographic analysis to examine the microstructure.
Surface & Hardness Testing: Measure surface roughness using profilometers and determine hardness profiles with Rockwell or Vickers hardness testers.

Geometric Parameter Analysis
Fundamental Parameters: Determine core design parameters: number of teeth, module/diametral pitch, pressure angle, helix angle, and face width.
Tooth Profile Details: Reconstruct tooth flank geometry (involute, cycloidal, etc.) by fitting curves to point cloud data, analyzing modifications such as tip and root relief.
Accuracy Grading: Evaluate pitch error, profile error, and lead error to assess precision grade per international standards (ISO, DIN, AGMA).

Material & Manufacturing Process Analysis
Composition & Properties: Define exact alloy composition through chemical analysis and assess mechanical properties (strength, toughness) via tensile and impact testing.
Heat Treatment Process: Analyze micro-hardness gradients to identify specific thermal processes like carburizing, quenching, or nitriding.
Manufacturing Traces: Examine tooth surface finish and machining patterns to deduce the original manufacturing method (hobbing, shaping, grinding, etc.).

Every project has unique demands and timelines. That’s why we offer adaptable support structures tailored to your specific needs—helping you move faster and achieve more.
