Worm And Worm Gear For Optical Analyzer

The worm and worm gears are used for optical analyzer systems, where accuracy, reliability, and smooth motion control are paramount.

Designed with a module of 0.5, with exceptional positional precision and low-backlash performance, making it ideally suited for fine wavelength tuning, grating rotation, and sample positioning mechanisms commonly found in spectrophotometers, monochromators, and other spectroscopic instruments.

The gear pair is manufactured with carefully selected materials to ensure long-term stability and wear resistance. Worm wheel CuAl9Fe3, the mating worm shaft AISI 303 stainless steel, which provides superior machinability, good corrosion resistance, and a smooth surface finish.

The worm wheel is manufactured to DIN 8 quality grade, while the worm shaft achieves DIN 6 tolerance class. This combination provides the accuracy for optical analytics while maintaining manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
