This helical tooth gear is made of 16MnCr5, a premium grade gear specialized steel widely adopted across Europe. It features far more stable hardenability compared with alternative materials. This helical gear after carburizing and quenching treatment, the outer tooth surface reaches 58-62 HRC. Satisfactory surface hardness brings excellent wear-resistance to endure frequent start-stop cycles, whilst the tough inner core delivers great shock resistance.
ISO 6 stands for high gear tolerance grade. Higher machining precision yields smoother meshing, slighter vibration and reduced running noise. Consequently, this gear is well suited for precision instruments and noise sensitive operating equipment.
