This is a high-precision helical gear for planetary gear reducers with accuracy level of DIN Class 6. It is made of European standard carburizing steel 16MnCr5, with Module 2 and 112 teeth.
A greater number of teeth leads to a higher contact ratio. The load is distributed across more teeth, which reduces the contact stress on each tooth flank and lowers the risk of pitting, making it ideal for long-term continuous operation.
Moreover, the helical structure features a longer contact line and more even stress distribution on tooth surfaces. Under the same dimensions, helical gears can deliver higher rated torque than spur gears and are less prone to surface crushing and pitting corrosion.
