This helical gear features a helical tooth profile that ensures gradual meshing, resulting in smoother operation, lower noise levels, and higher load-bearing capacity compared to spur gears.
This helical gear for mixers is made of 40CrNiMo, a high-hardenability alloy quenched and tempered steel with outstanding resistance to impact, heavy loads and fatigue. The tooth flank is locally hardened by high-frequency induction heating, achieving a stable surface hardness of 50~55 HRC and an effective case depth of 1.5~2.5 mm. It combines excellent surface wear resistance with robust core toughness to prevent tooth breakage. Besides, it features minimal heat treatment distortion and high dimensional stability, making it ideal for transmission components in medium and heavy-duty gearboxes.
