The Role Of Zerol Bevel Gear In Agricultural Machinery
In agricultural machinery, the Zerol zero-helix-angle bevel gear plays the role of “the most cost-effective 90° intersecting-axis transmission solution” — more durable and quieter than straight bevel gears, yet without the thrust bearings and complex housings required by true spiral bevel gears. The power from the steering wheel/steering column needs to be transmitted through a 90° turn to the tie rod or hydraulic control valve. The steering mechanism operates with frequent direction changes and requires no additional axial play (otherwise steering accuracy and feel would suffer).
