Typical Applications Of Internal Gears By Power Skiving
This small size internal ring gear is used in the leg joints of quadruped robots — shoulders, hips, knees, and ankles. Each joint has a compact planetary reducer, and the ring gear sits fixed inside the actuator housing. The planet gears roll through it, reducing motor speed while multiplying torque for walking, trotting, or jumping. Power skiving allows us to cut these tiny internal teeth efficiently.
