To receive a precise custom gear quote, what we need is either a drawing or actual samples. First, we need to know the gear type, like spur gears, helical gears, bevel gears, worm gears, or internal gear etc. since each requires different tooling and machining strategies. At least, 2D drawings is needed with dimensions, tolerance, number of teeth, module, pressure angle, material, heat treatment and accuracy request. If you also have an engineering drawing in DXF, or STEP format, that is ideal, which makes the whole process faster and more accurate.
