How do you keep my designs safe and private?

That is a really important question, and we take it seriously. We understand that your designs are valuable. You have put time and money into developing them, and you do not want anyone else getting a hold of them. So let me explain exactly how we protect your information.

First, before we even start working on your project, we can sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement – what people usually call an NDA. This is a legal document that says we cannot share your design with anyone else. We cannot use it for another customer. We cannot show it to anyone outside of our team. If you have your own NDA form that you normally use, that is fine. Just send it to us and we will sign it. If you do not have one, we can provide our own. Either way, we will get it signed before any drawings or files change hands. That way, you have legal protection from day one.

But legal protection is only part of the story. We also protect your designs in a practical, day to day way.

All of your design files – whether you send us a PDF, a CAD file, a drawing, or even a photo of a sample – are stored on secure servers. These are not just regular computers sitting in an office. Our servers are encrypted, which means even if someone got into the system somehow, they could not read the files without the right key. We also control who has access to those servers. Only the people who actually need to see your design to do their job – engineers, programmers, and quality control – can get to the files. Everyone else in the company cannot see them.

We also keep track of who looks at what. Our system logs every time someone opens a file. If we ever need to check who has seen your design, we can go back and see exactly which people and at what time. This might sound a bit much, but it gives you peace of mind knowing that nothing happens without a record.

When it comes to communication, we are careful too. We do not send your design files through regular email unless they are password protected or encrypted. Instead, we use secure file transfer systems or shared folders with limited access. If we do need to email something, we will check with you first about the best way to do it safely.

What about the physical side of things? When we make your gears, we create tooling and setup sheets that have your design information on them. Those documents stay inside our production area. Visitors do not get to walk around and see what we are making. Our shop floor is not open to the public. When a project is finished, we do not just leave your drawings sitting around. We archive them securely, and if you ask us to delete them after the job is done, we will do that too.

We also train our people. Everyone on our team knows that customer designs are private. They know not to talk about your project with anyone outside the company. It is part of how we work.

So here is the short version. We can sign an NDA if you want one. We store your files on encrypted servers. Only the people who need to see your design can see it. We keep logs of who looks at what. We are careful with email and file sharing. And we treat your designs as if they were our own.

You put a lot of work into your designs. We make sure that work stays yours.
