Yes, we do. We do not just sell you the gears and then disappear. We stay with you after the sale, and we offer a warranty to give you peace of mind.
Let me explain what that means in plain language.
First, the warranty. We offer a one-year warranty on all of our custom gears. This warranty covers manufacturing defects – meaning problems that are our fault. For example, if the gear teeth are cut to the wrong size, or the heat treatment was done poorly and the gear wears out too fast, or there is a crack in the metal that we should have caught during inspection – that is on us. If something like that happens within the first year, we will take care of it. That might mean reworking the gears, replacing them, or giving you a credit toward your next order. You will not pay extra for the fix, and we will work with you to make it right.
What does the warranty not cover? It does not cover normal wear and tear. Every gear wears down over time – that is just how it works. If you use a gear heavily for a year and the teeth show some wear, that is normal, not a defect. The warranty also does not cover damage caused by misuse, wrong installation, running without lubrication, or overloading the gear beyond what it was designed for. Those things would break any gear, no matter who made it.
Now, warranty is one thing. But post-sales support is a little different, and we offer that too.
After you receive your gears, you might have questions.
- Maybe you are not sure how to install them correctly.
- Maybe the gear fits but it makes a noise you have not heard before.
- Maybe you need help figuring out what kind of grease or oil to use.
- Maybe something just does not seem right.
As for all these questions, you can contact us, and we will help you figure it out.
We have been making gears for a long time, so we have seen all kinds of installation and maintenance issues. A lot of times, the problem is not the gear itself – it is something else in the machine. But we can help you troubleshoot. We can ask you a few questions, look at photos if you send them, and help you figure out what might be going wrong. We do not charge for this. It is just part of how we treat our customers.
Sometimes customers come back to us months or even years later with questions about a new project.
“I bought a gear from you two years ago and it worked great. Now I need something similar but with a different tooth size. Can you help?”
Yes, we can. We keep records of your previous orders, so we can look up what we made for you before and use that as a starting point for the new one. That saves you time because you do not have to start from scratch.
We also help with future customization needs. Maybe the original gear worked fine, but now you want to change the material or add a coating or make the gear stronger. Just tell us what you need, and we will quote you a price and a timeline.
So the bottom line is – we do not disappear after the sale. You get a one-year warranty against our mistakes. You also get ongoing support for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. And if you need more gears later or want to change the design, we are still here. Just call or email. We will answer.
