Planet Carrier

Planet carrier specifically for planetary gearboxes is core component of the planetary gear transmission. As the component which bear the highest external torque, the carrier’s structural design and manufacturing quality directly influence critical performance like load distribution among planet gears, load-bearing capacity, noise levels, and vibration etc.

The carrier is made by 42CrMo with QT as a preliminary heat treatment, then do the nitriding heat treatment, make the hardness of surface achieving 650–800 HV. Nitriding improve the wear resistance of the carrier surface, while making the components with minimal deformation and can easily control the hardened microstructure to ensuring the precision. The product meets DIN8 accuracy level.

Whats Applications of Planet Carrier?

 

The planet carrier is core component of planetary gear transmission systems, it supports the planet gears and realize power splitting and merging.
