Yes, we do. A “one-off” gear means just one piece – not a batch, not a production run. Some customers only need one gear. Maybe it is for a prototype they are testing. Maybe it is a replacement for a machine that broke and they only need one. Maybe they are building something custom and just need one gear to fit a specific space.
We are happy to make one piece. We do not have a minimum order quantity. One gear is fine with us.
Now, here is the catch. One gear costs more per piece than a large batch. That is because the setup work is the same whether we make one gear or a thousand. We still have to program the machine, set up the tooling, and check the first piece. That takes time. With a large batch, we spread that setup cost over many parts. With one piece, all of that cost goes into just that one gear.
But we do not try to punish small orders. We will give you a fair price for the one gear you need. We will also treat it with the same care and quality as a large order. It gets inspected, heat treated, and packaged properly.
If you need one gear for a special project, just send us your drawing or sample. We will quote you a price and lead time. We have done one-off gears for all kinds of things – vintage car restorations, prototype machines, custom race cars, and even art installations.
We understand that not every project needs a hundred pieces. Sometimes you just need one. And that is okay with us.
