To give you a custom gear quote, we typically need the following: gear type (spur, helical, bevel, worm, etc.), module or diametral pitch, number of teeth, pressure angle, helix angle (if applicable), face width, bore diameter, material specification, heat treatment requirement, and target accuracy grade. A drawing in PDF or DXF format is ideal. If you don’t have a drawing, an old gear sample delivery to us can work — we can offer reverse engineer on the samples and make the design drawing. For spiral bevel gears, we also need the shaft angle and spiral direction, or a photo of the existing pair. Once we have this information, we typically respond with a quote within 2-3 working days.
