Why choose an integrated helical gear shaft?
- Higher Precision: Separate structures require three layers of tolerances—gear inner bore, shaft outer diameter, and keyway fit—making misalignment of the large and small gears highly likely. Integrated helical gear shafts, however, allow for complete machining, hobbing, and grinding of the entire blank in a single setup, resulting in better precision control.
- Lower Failure Rate: Separate gears are prone to inner bore wear and interference fit failure due to long-term alternating stress. Integrated shafts, where the gear and shaft body are fused together, eliminate the risk of loosening or hobbing failures, leading to a lower failure rate, especially in harsh environments.
- Lower Noise and More Space Saving.
