Helical gear is a type of cylindrical gear whose teeth are not parallel to the gear axis, and is primarily used to transmit rotational motion between parallel shafts.
Due to the angled engagement of the teeth, helical gears have a larger contact area than spur gears, resulting in higher strength and the ability to withstand greater loads. At the same time, their engagement process is smoother, producing significantly less vibration and noise than spur gears for more fluid power transmission.
Because of their smooth operation, low noise, and high load-carrying capacity, helical gears are widely used in various industrial transmission systems, automotive transmissions, gear reducers, machine tools, fans, and other equipment.
